We didn’t create BOLD School because the world needed another school.
We created it because some of the brightest, most faith-filled kids we knew were fading in systems that were never designed for how they learn—or who they’re becoming.
Public schools? Filled with rockstar teachers doing amazing work… while also filling out 42 forms before lunch.
Private schools? Full of heart. But when you're steering the Titanic, it’s hard to take a sharp turn toward innovation.
Homeschooling? Let’s be honest, homeschool parents are superheroes. But even superheroes need a break—and maybe a math tutor.
We love and honor each of these models. But we also knew something different was needed. Something smaller, faster, more flexible—and fiercely rooted in Christ.
School shouldn’t take the driver’s seat away from families—it should hand them the keys
At BOLD, parents don’t hand over control to the latest “new program.” Instead, you step into partnership. You choose the pace, the schedule, even the curriculum. Your student takes ownership, setting goals, leading discussions, and discovering their God-given strengths. Together, you craft an education that reflects your family’s values and your child’s unique design.
And because that partnership puts the focus where it belongs—on the student—learning looks radically different.
Here, students master core academics in just two focused hours a day. The rest of their time? Leading. Building. Creating. Serving. (And yes, occasionally turning the classroom into a mini escape room.)
No bells. No busywork. No asking permission to be human. Just real learning for real life—with purpose.
Because kids weren’t made to fit the system.
They were made to change the world.
63% of U.S. students say they’re “chronically disengaged” in school.
The average student spends 6–7 hours in school—but only 90 minutes truly learning.
1 in 9 boys in the U.S. is on ADHD medication—often just to “fit” the classroom.
Only 30% of high school grads say they feel prepared for college or real life.
BOLD School equips students to think critically, lead courageously, and live purposefully—grounded in Christ and ready for anything.
Our vision is to raise a generation of leaders who are empowered by faith and prepared to make a meaningful impact. At BOLD, students take ownership of their learning, engage real-world challenges, and contribute to their communities—locally and globally.
I’ve spent decades in traditional education, working with brilliant students who were checking every box and still feeling burnt out, unseen, or just plain bored.
But it didn’t hit me hardest in the classroom.
It hit me at home.
I watched my own kids struggle under systems that treated them like test scores, not people. Systems that measured seat time but didn’t make space for calling, creativity, or character. One of them asked if school was “just something you survive.” That was the moment I knew: we have to build something different.
So here we are—building something BOLD.
It’s a place for the student who doesn’t fit the mold (and honestly doesn’t want to). For the kid who learns faster, slower, sideways, or through LEGOs and leadership projects. For the family who loves Jesus and is tired of choosing between strong academics and strong values.
Here, kids are known. Encouraged. Equipped.
If you’ve been praying for something different—something meaningful—I’d love to meet you. This might be exactly what your child has been waiting for (and let’s be real… what you’ve been waiting for too).
With bold faith and a little holy fire,
Tammy
