Founder's Message

 Hi and welcome to BOLD School!

I am thrilled to share the vision of our "unschool" with you and your student. Think of it as homeschool on steroids—a place where students can be themselves, feel safe, learn exponentially more, and truly thrive!

As a longtime public and charter school educator and administrator, I experienced firsthand the frustrations with the traditional school system. For my own children, one gifted and one who struggled with learning disabilities, I wanted something better. Witnessing students who were disengaged, unstimulated, and sometimes even threatened by their environment was heartbreaking.

Fed up, I left the school system and moved into the corporate world of educational technology. While the tools are amazing and inspiring on their own, they didn't change my dream of making a difference for future students. This desire for something better and the ambition to leave a meaningful legacy led me to establish BOLD School.
